According to this article from the News Observer gives a local spin on another Southern Baptist/women in ministry controversy. The editor of Gospel Today magazine was suprised to fine that Lifeway Christian bookstores had removed issues of her publication from shelves because the cover featured stories about prominent female pastors.
The denomination's statement of beliefs includes a tenet that women cannot be pastors of churches.
