Democrats to turn up volume on religion at convention

Perhaps encouraged by prominent evangelicals' statements that they do not vote ask a bloc, organizers of the Democratic National Committee are planning a more overt focus on religion this year, according to this story from NPR.

Faith-based caucuses and forums at the conventions will focus on a variety of religious and moral issues such as Iraq, poverty, abortion and the environment.

It will be interesting to see how much this angle is shown in convention coverage.
