Using new media for proselytizing highlighted in recent stories

Your latest spam might be an attempt at proselytizing, according to this article from Religious News Service, that focuses on email messages that offer a religious message and then encourage the reader to mass email it to others.

Also this week, The Baptist General Convention of Texas's state newpaper has this article on blogging by members of Baptist churches. The article focuses on why the bloggers do it, and suggests that it is the two-way communication and opportunity to reach a different set of readers.
