Religious variations in mention of regional variations of fertility story
The US Fertility rate is up, the Associated Press calculated for a story that ran widely. One of the interesting factors was that there was a regional variation, with larger families being reported in the South and Midwest. The Dallas Morning News version quotes a demographer attributing the difference to different prevailing religions in different US regions.
