Baptist Group fights Sex Abuse

On the heels of the announcement that Baptist churches will be the next target for SNAP , Texas Baptists are addressing these concerns in an interesting way.

The Baptist General Convention of Texas (BGCT) is using its Web site to address the problem of clergy sex abuse by posting the names of convicted sex offenders who have are known to have worked in BGCT-affiliated churches.

The BGCT's sex offender list currently contains the names of eight former ministers and links to their records in the Texas Department of Public Safety Sex Offender Registry.
