When is a cross not religious?
The U.S. Supreme Court is scheduled to hear an establishment clause case next week, involving the display of a cross at the Mojave National Preserve. The action thus far in the case is quite interesting, involving a request to build an adjoining Buddhist stupa and 3 separate laws passed by Congress, apparently to protect the cross as a memorial.
