There are several newspaper sponsored blog sites on work-life balancing for parents which will have a proposition post and then encourage lots of reader interaction in comments, working sort of like a moderated message board. Religion issues surface occasionally, like in this post from the Washington Post on breastfeeding issues that generated a fairly lengthy discussion on the propriety of breastfeeding in religious services.
This made me think about the issues readers are interested in, religion wise, that might be different from what a religion reporter might choose to cover as news.
