Romney announcement brings faith to forefront of presidential discussions

I asked my students this morning what was interesting about Mitt Romney as a presidential candidate and one of them guessed that his campaign slogan would be "Mitt Happens." Not quite correct, but Romney is unusual in his religious affiliation.

The question is open as to whether it is an issue for voters as much as it appears to be one for media. You can read media accounts from NPR, The Boston Globe, and USA Today among others.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has restated its position on political neutrality, according the The Deseret News.

Find Romney's official web site here.
